The exhibition is presented in collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB) from the 27th of April 2016 at the Donwahi Foundation for Contemporary Art for a period of 6 weeks. This unique collaboration between African Development Bank and African Artists for Development stresses once again AAD’s commitment to the development of the continent.
Lumières d’Afriques, which still benefits from its partners Orange, the Schneider Electric Foundation and Tilder, presents 54 artworks – paintings, photographs, installations, videos, sculptures – created by 54 contemporary African artists – one per country – around the theme “African Lights and Energies”
The exhibition, previously presented at the Théâtre National de Chaillot in Paris from 4 to 24, is hence starting its world tour.
