Afrique-Asie. Arts, espaces, pratiques

  • Musée du Quai Branly 37 Quai Branly Paris, Île-de-France, 75007 France (map)

The ties that bind Africa and Asia lie at the very heart of globalization.  In this newly published anthology, multiple disciplines come together to reflect on the role of the arts, of literature, spirituality and urbanism in the forging of centuries-old linkages between the two continents.

A roundtable bringing together Nicole Khouri and Dominique Malaquais, editors of the anthology, artists Malala Andrialavidrazana and Sammy Baloji, whose work plays a central part in the book, and scholars Fiona Siegenthaler (University of Basel), Marian Nur Goni (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales) and Jean-Paul Colleyn (Assistant Director, Institut des Mondes Africains).
